Remember it s a sin to kill a mockingbird. This astonishing statement which Atticus had said it to his daughter scout in one of their boring days expresses the story of the innocent people that Harper Lee introduced in her wonderful novel To Kill a Mockingbird. Maycomb, the sleepy town in the south of America, where poverty reaches most of the families from privilege families such as the Finches, to the African Americans such as the Robinson s. In this novel, Harper Lee paints a vivid picture of how the bigotry and segregation was spread all over the Maycomb town in Alabama. In the beginning, the story starts in a small boring tired old town which is Maycomb in Alabama where there is nothing to do or to buy. Jem who was 10 years old and his little sister Scout who was 6 years old were living with their old satisfactory father whose name is Atticus Finsh in their small house. Since Their mother died when they were little, Calpurnia who considered as their housemaid takes care of them, she almost like a mother for them. Scout is the narrator of this novel, she seemed so nostalgic thinking about her childhood, taking the readers to the root of the human behavior by showing us specific details and emotions. A total of 38 adults, ranging in age from 18-20, were charged with underage consumption of alcohol in Holmes County Municipal Court, where all appeared Wednesday. Underage consumption is a first-degree misdemeanor, punishable by up to 180 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. All entered pleas of not guilty or no contest and each was sentenced by visiting Judge Michael Nunner to a $250 fine, court costs and 10 days in jail, suspended pending they have no further violations of law before turning 21 years old. However, some would argue that power and greed is the most dominant means of control because it is due to these factors that Antonio is able to convince Antonio to kill the king. This is because when Prospers was exiled all he had were his books which kept him alive; however, whilst he had his books he was exiled ND usurped by his brother, when Prospers swears that he will ‘drown my book’ he becomes the Duke of Milan, what this tells the audience is that magic and knowledge are both vital, but without language Prospers wouldn’t have been able to fight his case and make everyone believe that he is the rightful heir to being the Duke of Milan. Also, right at the end Prospers ends the play with a soliloquy which gives him the most power out of all the characters in the play and then over the audience, he begs the audience for forgiveness by ‘help of your good hands’ which means that when the audience clap they will forgive him, this gives him rower over the audience as he is telling them what to do and they listen to him, he also asks the audience to forgive him, by making himself kick weaker than the audience he is gaining control and being more powerful as they listen to everything that he has got to say.
